Ministries in Parish Life

Infant Baptism

Infants receive the Sacrament of Baptism at less than catechetical age, generally 5 years or younger. For infant baptism, parents are required to take instruction aimed at understanding their role in the faith formation of their children. Call the parish office to receive information about classes and how to begin this process. This program is facilitated by couples and individuals from the parish who have volunteered for this ministry.  For more information, call Parish office at 361-592-3489

Adult Confirmation

Catholics typically are confirmed in high school as part of our youth program. However, we frequently get adults who are not confirmed and would like to be confirmed. We are offering several series of classes for adults seeking confirmation.

Marriage Preparation

Diocesan policy for marriage preparation requires that couples allow for a minimum of six months of advance preparation. This gives the parish adequate time for paperwork and the couple adequate time for their preparation. Preparation includes attendance at an Engaged Encounter  No wedding date can be set before meeting with the parish priest. To set an appointment, please call the priest Fr. Paulson 361-592-3489

Sponsor Couple Program

The Sponsor Couple Program is a program in which engaged couples work with a married couple assigned to them by the parish program coordinator. It provides direct couple-to-couple sharing of the sacred-human reality which is day-to-day experience of Christian marriage.

Weekend Faith Renewal

Faith Renewal Retreat

It is a weekend retreat experience that leads the individual to an interior experience with oneself and with God. It is a community building tool in which individuals once again find their purpose and fulfillment which was lost by sin of man. The plan that the creator God had in mind when He created man is rediscovered and relived by the individuals through this retreat. Our Lady is renewing the faith of her members by these weekend exposures and motivating them to build up communities and support one another in every area of their life.
