May be you need to pitch in to crowd control from the beginning and not wait for the last minute.

the 18 wheeler was going straight and stopped for us, stooped for respecting what was happening at the road. I think it is a good idea especially on a Good Friday to make the people pause and think for a while about what happened 2000 years ago in the street of Jerusalem and on the hill of Golgotha, where Christ was crucified.

buying some fluorescent safety vast is a good idea. Let us go for them next year.

Pertaining to the STATIONS OF THE CROSS event.

We had crowd control somewhat and I was able to help at the last minute. But I think someone needs to be in charge of crowd control next time. At least three people are needed to control side street vehicle traffic and rear vehicle traffic. A single line of people for the procession was requested but it did not happen.

Single line control was especially needed when we walked onto King Street and stopped. Traffic was stopped for a while until the procession started to move again a few minutes later. We had an 18 wheeler truck waiting on us. It could not turn into one of the side streets and probably was not legal to.

It is a good idea, I think, to purchase some fluorescent safety vests for those volunteering for the crowd control.

Once the website goes live, we may want to invite parishioners to a presentation in the Parish Hall.  We can set up a few lap tops to allow people to log in and navigate the website.  You can introduce this blog feature and encourage them to use the blog to communicate with you. You can also promote the on-line giving feature so we can have some word-of-mouth advertising.
